Dash goes crazy for fetch! It is his favorite past time for sure! We have a launcher and it can throw the balls really far. He loves to sprint after the balls and bring them back. Sometimes he thinks he is being stealthy by slinking back to us. It is hilarious! We try to take him every day. He also loves to do it when the sprinklers are on at the elementary school. I have to try and get pictures then. That would be cool. Dash also just went through a growth spurt! He finally past 20 lbs. He was 20.24 lbs when we took him to the Mapleton Family Pet Hospital for his vacation there (while we went to hawaii). He had a blast! I will have to post the videos and pics they sent us while on vacation! We love this place. If you are looking for a great vet and staff I would highly recommend them!

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival
Mom took Ashlee and I to the tulip festival this year in April. I have been so busy with my thesis (I defended on Monday, home stretch!!!!) I never got around to posting the beautiful pics. Ashlee mom and I passed the camera around, so i never know who takes what, and I am way to lazy to edit so enjoy some raw pics of the tulips.
Thanks mom! I loved it! And this time I made sure my camera was charged :)

Hawaii Part 2
Aloha!
So Wednesday after the Catamaran ride we went to the water park. I didn't take my camera so no pics there, but I love this park. It is such a well designed, clean, safe park! I love water parks and this one is my favorite!
Laie Temple- We went and did a session and baptisms Thursday morning. It was such a beautiful temple and the renovations were just beautiful! I had a hard time staying awake because of exhaustion from our previous days of fun! Luckily it is an older temple design and so you move rooms frequently.
Giovanni's Shrimp- after the temple I wanted to stop at a shrimp farm for dad to have fresh shrimp. Luckily I knew they had fresh pineapple with li hing and bbq corn for those of us who don't care for sea food. I love how blue Ashlee's eyes look with her outfit!
PCC- This was possibly my favorite stop! I love learning about different cultures and this was no exception. They are so talented and I am so amazed that this is just a part time job for the students of BYU-H. Matthew got an air-brushed tattoo so he could get tanned with the design. He did and it looked awesome!
Friday Ashlee. Matthew and I took off to Kailua to go rent kayaks and snorkel. The weather was too overcast for snorkeling so we just kayaked. Afterwards we drove to the Dole plantation. These two pics were on the drive out of the jungle somewhere.
Dole plantation- This was not our favorite stop, but the pineapple whip was sooooooooooooooo delicious. I got it again with li hing. yum! I would go again just for the dole whip! I did get some dun pics though so, I guess that made it all worth it!
Pearl Harbor- There is no words to describe the feeling of this monument. We were so humbled as we watched the movie about the incident and then went to the uss arizona memorial. It became so real when I saw the oil rising to the surface of the water from the sunken battleship below. There were several fallen soldiers below who gave their lives for me. I know it was 71 years ago, but my freedom was due to their hard work and dedication just like all of those who valiantly serve to protect me every day, and have done so since the creation of this nation, so I can enjoy the freedoms I do. Thank you!
We also did our share of shopping. We went to the swap meet saturday at the UH stadium. We also shopped at Waikiki. There was a pan-pacific festival going on friday and saturday so we got to see lot's of chinese and japanese culture and shop from lots of fun vendors. Ashlee and I loved going to the ross stores there in hawaii because no one there seems to want dresses with sleeves on them so we got like 10 church dresses between the two of us :).
The other goal we had was to eat lots of pineapple and candy apple bananas. We did :) the fruit there is amazing and I even got fresh mangos and lychee coconut to mention a few. Mom and ashlee got many more pics and we had such a blast! I wish I could have spent longer there alas 7 on 7 called us home. I hope that everyone gets a chance to go to Hawaii and enjoys it as much as we did! Mahalo!
